All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. It has been a testing and strange time for all of us over these past months.

I have missed being able to offer you the treatments that I know you love and I am looking forward to seeing you again as soon as possible.

My priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and prior to re-opening I have implemented a number of changes which I would like to make you aware of. During the time the salon has been shut, I’ve completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control Course, which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry. I have since made a number of changes in the way that I operate that you will notice when you next visit. I have carried out a risk assessment on all of the treatments that are allowed.

If I feel ill or have any symptoms of COVID-19, I will self-isolate immediately. This will mean that I have to cancel your appointment at short notice. I appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled you will be able to rebook again once it is safe to do so.

If you or any of the people that you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of COVID-19, please advise me as soon as possible and do not come into the salon for your appointment. I have amended my terms and conditions and you will not be charged any cancellation fees for any missed appointments.

For your safety and to maintain social distancing, I ask that you attend your appointments, as close to your appointment time as possible. Please do not arrive early for your appointments as this may mean you come into contact with other clients that are just leaving and  I have allowed extra time between clients to disinfect the areas. Please attend your appointment on your own.

When you arrive please remove your shoes and leave them by the front door, and enter the cloakroom to wash your hands with soap provided and dry with the disposable paper towel. You will also have access to hand sanitiser once inside the beauty room. If you have the NHS app, please scan into my QR code for track and trace.

Masks must be worn (these may be removed for back massage & facial treaments), please bring your own or I can supply you with one. Please do not be offended but unfortunately the normal hand shake/hug welcome will not be allowed.

I have increased the frequency of cleaning my beauty room including making sure that common surfaces, all door handles, toilets ect are wiped clean using disinfectant between each client.

All tools and equipment will be sterilised between clients. Clean towels and paper towels will be used for each client.

I will be wearing a mask and a visor at all times, which is a 2 way protector, which will be sanitised between clients and I will wash my hands. Windows will be open to ventilate the room. A pre screening questionaire and Covid-19 policy will be sent to you before your appointment. Cashless payments only.

The laundering of towels and uniform will be at 60 degrees c, towels will be bagged and safely removed after use. All disposable items will be bagged and disposed of safely.

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and mine.  I will continue to take advice from the Government’s guidelines for safe practice and update and amend them as necessary.

Thank you for your understanding.
